WWE SummerSlam 1997

<p>Still in the midst of a losing streak in the Monday Night War against rivals WCW, the WWE presented Summer Slam 1997 in August of that year, with a main event featuring Champion, The Undertaker against Bret Hart and which also featured Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee. The night however, is maybe best remembered for the infamous events of the Intercontinental Title match pitting Owen Hart against 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin with the closing moments playing a massive part in Austin's future career.
