Using the state tax code to fight poverty

Sept. 19, 2022 - New York is poised to distribute half a billion dollars in checks to low-income New Yorkers this fall, so we check in with New York University School of Law professor Daniel Hemel to consider the ramifications of this initiative and how else the state tax code could be used to address poverty in the Empire State.
