Preparing for a world without babies

We're used to anxiety about population growth, but what about decline? New research suggests that by 2100 the population will be shrinking, with both China and India in population freefall. In Australia our population will have peaked by then too, and in 23 other countries populations could be half what they are today. So are we ready for an older, smaller world where even immigration might not save us? And is there some good news for the planet here too?
