Whether we like it or not, we’ll come face-to-face with instances where our emotional reactions are critiqued by others. Sometimes we’ll be told we’re “too sensitive,” or that we shouldn’t feel mad or upset over something. We can use affirmations to practice standing up for ourselves. Expressing your emotions is healthy and normal, and it’s important to remember we express them in different ways.
