Harald Oimoen

Harald Oimoen His photographs captured the early years of the Bay Area thrash scene and were featured on landmark albums by Metallica, Slayer, Exodus and Possessed. Along with co-photographer Brian Lew, he compiled his images into the definitive Bay Area thrash metal photo book, “Murder in the Front Row,” which was turned into a movie in 2019. Known by his nickname, “Harald O,” he’s also an accomplished bass player who spent nearly 20 years in D.R.I. Enjoy the brutally honest, funny and firsthand stories of Harald Oimoen.
