Good Angels

تفصیل
Before God made the world, and man, the Bible is clear that He brought angelic beings into existence. Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones preaches that while they are spiritual beings with some type of body appropriate for their condition, they are clearly created beings. Angels are described in various ways — they are always referred to as “he", they never die, and a variety of Biblical expressions make it clear that there are good angels and evil ones. The Bible does not give an exact number of angels, but they seem countless, described as “legions” and “great hosts”. The Biblical doctrine of angels does not teach the idea of a guardian angel for every person, but as Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains, they are shown to be actively at work in our human affairs. The holy angels who continually worship the Lord in heaven operate according to God’s will as guides (Philip and the Ethiopian), comforters (Paul in the stormy shipwreck) , protectors (Daniel in the lions’ den, Michael the archangel), deliverers (Peter in prison), messengers (Gabriel), revealers of God’s will and purposes (Abraham’s visitors), executers of His judgment (Herod), and more.
