943. Depression & Accelerated Aging

<p>Dr. Martin looks at three major articles on depression. Two involve the use of antidepressants, the third about how hopelessness, loneliness, and unhappiness accelerate the aging process.</p> <p>It’s being reported that long term use of SSRI antidepressants can double your risk of heart disease. Dr. Martin has said multiple times that SSRIs were meant as a short-term fix. The medication was never meant to be used more than six months under any circumstance.</p> <p>Medicine will say that depression is a chemical imbalance, when really, it’s caused by low levels of serotonin.
