In other words, “once saved, always saved” appeals to the most carnal leanings of our humanity. We find in 1 Peter 2:16, "Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover or pretext for evil, but [use it and live] as bond-servants of God." Amen! Living a life of obedience, requires complete allegiance to Jesus Christ! Make no mistake, being faithful to Jesus until the end requires you to remain abiding in Jesus. It means staying out of sin beloved! And not taking His grace and His shed blood as a license for you to stay in your filthiness, as you claim He's your Lord and Savior, but you do not do anything His Word commands us to do or not to do! We all better pull it together! 💥 In Christ we are to not tolerate sin!! There should be no tolerance for sin in the Body of Christ! There should not be a cavalier attitude towards sin. We are to not go around talking about how we are still sinners, for we are not! We are in Christ and we have been set free from the bondage of sin; sin is no longer our master, it has no dominion, authority, or mastery over us anymore!! We walk in the "newness of life" and we have absolutely nothing to do with the "fruitless deeds of darkness!" We are to not tolerate sin on any level! Not at all! We must avoid sin at all cost! Jesus died a suffering death so that we don't die in our sins and face God's wrath, while "claiming" His Name!
