Your Attitude is Everything with Daniel Tolson

<p>Daniel Tolson was diagnosed with a linear sequential learning disability at 11. He could not learn as fast as other kids, and he had a rough time in school. When he got to high school, he dropped out because he couldn't keep up with other children in school.</p> <p>Thankfully during the time he was receiving treatment for his condition, Daniel had developed a positive attitude that drives him to date. </p> <p>When he dropped out of school, his uncle asked him to join him in real estate. Again, thanks to his attitude, he became successful in the industry even without education. </p> <p>Later, Emirates Airlines gave him a job to co-lead a team of 17,000 cabin crew, and they didn't care that he didn't have an education.</p> <p>Today he joins me on the show to share his incredible journey and some golden nuggets of wisdom. Listen in to learn more.</p> <p>You need to ask for help</p> <p>Businesspeople go all in and get to a stage called the founder's trap. They can't grow the business past who they are. The super-intelligent ones bringing external help have no ego about it. </p> <p>Asking for help is a sign of strength. For instance, look at someone like Jeff Bezos. He has brought in 800,000 people to help him build his business.</p> <p>The three types of motivation</p> <p>Daniel believes there are three types of motivations:</p> <ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Biological motivation: this is the will to survive. Most people do it for the basics.</li> <li style="font-weight:400;">Extrinsic motivation: This is for houses, cars, and money. Yes, all of that's important. However, once you get it, the motivation stops. If you don't get it, the motivation stops.</li> <li style="font-weight:400;">Intrinsic motivation: What lights the fire within.</li> </ul> <p>Daniel's inner superpower</p> <p>According to Daniel, his inner superpower is resilience.
