Young professional makes a big impact

<p>By day, Nick Etscheid’s job with Amazon Network Services focuses on international businesses. But he wanted to get involved with his local community, make an impact, and gain strategic skills. <br/><br/>The 28-year-old found the opportunity to do that on the board of directors at $690 million asset<a href='https://www.veritycu.com/'> Verity Credit Union</a> in Seattle. <br/><br/>He was an associate board member for a year before he was elected to the board of directors in 2020. <br/><br/>“There’s no expectation of sitting quietly for any period of time,” says Etscheid, who has been a credit union member since he was a teenager. “They encourage you to ask questions and voice opinions early on as part of the onboarding process.
