So the things that I think are so important are, a lot of times, not the academic parts. It's, like you said, the dinner around the table. It's modeling for them, trying something brave like your daughter did. Then she knows that she has the support either way. It's like being that safe place for our kids for them to be themselves and for them to say, 'I want to try this.'"</p> <p>Kara: "... what a gift it is...when we can just let people be 100% themselves, our kids and us too, as much as we can without getting nervous about it."</p> <p>Kara: "I'm their mom. I'm not their computer programmer. They're not little robots.
