WPG E40 - What Does it Mean to be Born of Water?

Nicodemus asked Jesus: how can a man be born again? In John 3:5, Jesus answered, truly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What does it mean to be born of water? We all have been born physically by our parents many years ago. The Bible refers to the life we had at birth as the old man or old life. When God chooses to make us His children, He crucifies our old life or old man. “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Then Jesus gives us the water of life, the new man or new life. Then it will be said that we have been born of water. We resurrect we the new life in us.
