Words that Motivate Action

One of the troubles we have in the self-help industry is that a lot of the content sounds or reads great when you hear it but when it actually comes to the crunch you tend to go back the way you were after hearing it. How can we discover words that will motivate us to actually change our behavior or take those actions we know are good for us?
