Description

In my family (eight kids) all of us have some level of dyslexia. Standardized tests are hard. Some of us fought our way through college. Others are succeeding in the trades.

But all of us have been misjudged as not being bright, put in the "slow" class and overlooked. In talking to Chris Cloud we both wondered if there was a better way to decide who would be good at a specific job.

Francisco "Frank" Galindo, MBA and Paula Jenkins, MBA joined us for this conversation that doesn't have an easy answer.

We barely touched the surface of a topic that needs A LOT more discussion.

If we are using homogeneous judging methods we are going to end up with a homogeneous group; which we know is not ideal.

How might others best recognize your skills and abilities without using degrees, certificates or tests?

Connect with the panelists: Francisco "Frank" Galindo: https://www.linkedin.com/in/frankgalindo-mba/ Paula Jenkins, MBA: https://www.linkedin.com/in/paulajenkinslfsconsulting/ Chris Cloud: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ccloud/ Dr Robyn Odegaard: https://www.linkedin.com/in/robynodegaard/

Want a summary of the five Quick Hits I post every week, plus the links to the LinkedIn pages of each of the panelist to show up in your in-box every week?
