<p><strong>With Eileen Flynn</strong></p><br><p>Welcome to Lennon Courtney Left Alone, with Guests.</p><br><p>For our final episode in this series, we are delighted to be joined by a living history maker, Senator Eileen Flynn. Senator Flynn is an Independent politician who has served as a Senator since June 2020, after being nominated by the Taoiseach Micheal Martin. She is the first member of the Travelling Community to serve in the Oireachtas. </p><br><p>But Eileen has always been a groundbreaker. When she was in secondary school, both she and her twin became the first members of the Labre Park community in Ballyfermot to reach third level education in 2008.&nbsp;Flynn then went on to study at Trinity College Dublin before attending Ballyfermot College of Further Education and later earning a degree at Maynooth University with a BA. Since then, she has worked in community development and activism on behalf of Irish Travellers.
