Windy, Mild & Dryw/Elevated Fire Concern East Hwy 25; Dry & Warm Thru Next Tue; Storm System Next Wed/Thu

<p>High-pressure and ridging over the Rockies will lead to windy, mild and dry conditions over the Central Plains for the foreseeable future.  Daytime temps will warm into the 50’s to around 60 with overnight lows in the 20’s.  These temperatures will be 10-15-degrees above normal for early to mid-February.  While the main upper-level Jet and storm track remain along the Canadian border and upper Midwest, two upper-level trough and cold front moves will move through Wednesday night and Thursday and again Friday night and Saturday. This will lead to more seasonal temperatures in the 40’s and maybe squeeze out some light snow flurries in the early morning hours.  Otherwise, dry, and mild conditions will continue to intensify drought and elevated fire concerns, especially in areas east of highway 25 where there is less snowpack.    </p>
