Description

Snowfall ending but with Arctic sitting firmly over the area wind chill readings are reaching 15 to 25 below zero, thus a WIND CHILL ADVISORY THIS MORNING remains in place. With 2” to 4” of snowpack and Artic air in place for another 24 hrs., today’s daytime temps will only be in the single digits and low teens, while overnight low will be in the lower single digits and wind chill readings 5 to 15 below. Tomorrow temperatures will rebound into 30’s and 40’s from west to east as southerly flow and warm air advects into the region from high-pressure building over the Rockies. Saturday the high slides east over the area pushing highs into the upper 40’s and low 50’s. Sunday another dry cold front backs-in behind a Canadian high moving through the northern Plains, but only drops high temps to around 40-degrees. Monday a quick return of high-pressure out west and west southwesterly flow warms temperatures back into the 50’s.
