Will U.S. Protests Lead to Change?

<p>In this edition of <strong>Wilson Center NOW</strong> we are joined by <strong>Susan Stokes,</strong>  the Tiffany and Margaret Blake Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago. She discusses the current Black Lives Matter movement and global protests over the killing of George Floyd. Stokes also highlights her recent Wilson Quarterly article <em><a href= "https://www.wilsonquarterly.com/quarterly/the-power-of-protest/why-protest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Why Protest</a>?,</em> which examines if the surge in mass protests around the world in the last decade was an example of democracy in crisis or democracy in action.</p>
