Will Apple Kill Email Newsletters? (275)

<p>Apple unveiled their <a href= "https://www.morningbrew.com/daily/stories/2021/06/07/apple-unveils-new-privacy-work-features-wwdc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">new privacy policy this week</a>. Among the features is an ability <a href= "https://www.platformer.news/p/will-apple-mail-end-the-newsletter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">not to track open rates in email newsletters</a>. The boys think this is bad for ecommerce and advertising and good for long-form email newsletters.</p> <p>Facebook announced their Substack killer, called <a href= "https://www.vox.com/recode/22518571/facebook-substack-bulletin-newsletter-launch" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bulletin</a>, in their fight to slowly manipulate more content creators to the platform.</p> <p>And of all the new products Twitter has announced, the first one to launch is <a href= "https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/company/2021/introducing-twitter-blue.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Twitter Blue</a>, a program that will do not one bit of good for anyone (not that we're opinionated or anything).</p> <p>Rants and raves include a rant from Joe on <a href= "https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/9/22526266/facebook-smartwatch-two-cameras-heart-rate-monitor" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook's new watch</a>.
