Why my internet is gone forever

She claims her generation were the first who properly grew up online, riding the waves of those chaotic and experimental early years of the internet. But when the pandemic hit and we were all forced to log on, she realised that the internet of her youth was gone. She joins Matthew to explain why the death of that early DIY spirit,  replaced by a corporate experience driven by the algorithm, is to the detriment of us all. </p><p>Marie Le Conte is a French-Moroccan political journalist based in London. She has worked for the Daily Telegraph, Daily Mirror, Evening Standard.
