<p><strong>SERMON OUTLINE (24/10/21)</strong></p> <p><strong>Why love matters: 1 John 2 7-11</strong></p> <p>1. <strong>The Introduction:</strong> Why should love matter for the Christian?</p> <p>1.1 <strong>Big Idea:</strong> These two things that we are going to look at in 1 John ch2 vv7-11 will help us to see why love is important to the Christian life – why love matters (7-11)</p> <p>2. The first thing is: love was true in Jesus (7-8)</p> <p>3. The second thing is: love shows that we are in the light (9-11)</p> <p>4. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> the exhortation: These two things that we have looked at from 1 John ch2 vv7-11 to see why love matters – are we now challenged to see why love matters (7-11)</p> <p><strong>Reflection:</strong> Why should love matter for the Christian? Does love matter for you? Do you see that love was true in Jesus? Do you see love in your own life; which shows that you are in the light?
