Why is it so hard to embrace our Divinity?

<p>Why is it when you claim your Divinity most of society frowns ? I say if the Pope can be a stand in for Christ so can we. Jesus came to liberate us from Law of the Old Testament and usher in a New covenant which joined us with the all the One our Creator. Throughout the years the teachings have been misleading and combining the two which has lead to confusion and separation in Consciousness.
