Why is it okay to like only Rock or other genres but not Hip Hop?

This episode comes from a great tweet that brought up a good question and conversation. I have been through this and it is frustrating. People can like only Rock. Only classical music and nobody has issues with it. But when I or others just like Hip Hop it's a problem. And thats unfair. My thoughts feelings and experience in this episode.
