Why do we Celebrate St Patrick’s Day - EP214 - Homeownership

<p>In this episode we discuss that Saint Patrick’s Day is the celebration of the arrival of Christianity to Ireland. Since then it has become a day to wear green no matter your heritage. Saint Patrick was originally a British citizen who was enslaved by the Pagan King Niall and made into a shepherd. After he escaped he later returned to Ireland as a missionary bringing Christianity to Ireland. Saint Patrick’s Day is a day that has wandered from it’s origins and now is a day of parades, festivals, drinking, eating, wearing green, and adorning a shamrock. It is a day where everyone hopes to grab a little “Luck of the Irish”.</p>
