Why a lift and shift backup architectures is a bad idea

<p>Most "cloud" backup services are based on lifting and shifting a legacy backup product into the cloud. Druva reps discuss this a lot, but they often get pushback with phrases like "why do I care how the vendor makes my backups happen?" This episode answers why you should care very much. It affects your flexibility, cost, and risk – all for the worst. All SaaS services should be delivered in such a way that allows a customer to consume them however and whenever they want, while the technology and cost scale up and down based on their needs.
