<p>In this week's episode we will discuss the beginning stages of sobriety and recovery and how that can look completely different for everyone.</p> <p>People ask me how was it that I quit and moved on with my life, sans alcohol - and it came down, for me, to this one quote, "When the pain of continuing to use is greater than the pain of quitting." </p> <p>All of this was sparked by meeting a man who was 25-days into his own journey and seeing his excitement and trepidation all in one facial expression.</p> <p>Listen to this episode and then ask yourself these following questions:</p> <p>I ask that you really sit down, look in the mirror, and sincerely ask yourself why you did this to yourself.</p> <ul><li>what trauma caused this</li> <li>where is the root of this pain</li> <li>can you talk it out with the causer and take responsibility where you can</li> <li>what is it that you want out of life <ul><li>like, really, really, really want</li> </ul> </li> <li>what if you knew you wouldn't fail <ul><li>then what would you do?</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>Thank you so much for listening and being a part of this wonderfully supportive community.
