<p>In this episode, we discuss what we can learn from the Oscars slap. Everyone has been talking about the slap seen around the world at the Oscars. It all started with a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.</p> <p>Smith appeared to be laughing at first, but seconds later he walked up to the stage and slapped Rock. He returned to his seat and shouted profanities at Rock.</p> <p>No matter which side you look at it, we don't agree with how Smith handled this situation. We are not allowed, just because someone else crossed the line, to be violent, mean, or uncivil. It's not OK to be mean or harm somebody in response to what they say or do. Unless you're defending a life.</p> <p>The joke was based on Jada's medical condition Alopecia and was not well received and understandably so. But there are better ways to deal with a situation like this. We take the time to discuss that in this episode.
