What Supply Chain Management Means

<p>We sit down with Anthony Appea, Global Supply Chain professional at Pepsi. We talk about his childhood in Ghana, lessons from his grandfather, and his career with IBM and Pepsi in managing supply chain.</p><p>~ ~ ~</p><p>Anthony is a supply chain and procurement professional with over 7 years of experience.  Anthony is responsible for multi-million in spending at PepsiCo in his current role as global procurement manager. Anthony also has past experience with semiconductor, pharma and chemical companies.</p><p>He holds a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management and Marketing from Rutgers University- Newark and a Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Cape Coast- Ghana where I had the privilege to serve over 18,000 students as president of the university's branch of National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) - the largest umbrella students body in Ghana.</p><p>He has strong interests in strategic leadership, finance, and operational effectiveness.</p><p>When he is not working, he spends time with his wife and 2-year-old daughter. He is passionate about football(soccer) and likes to play or watch his favorites teams.
