What is the difference between persuasion and manipulation?

<p>This conversation was HARD! Manipulation feels like a bad thing (it is right?) and persuasion seemed like something some of the panelists feel like has to be done if you own a business.</p> <p>An online dictionary says that manipulation is "skillful or artful management" while persuasion has much harsher synonyms in the thesaurus.
