<p>We started with Jeff Glauser giving us three great tips:</p> <ul><li>Be specific</li> <li>Pay attention to your nonverbal communication</li> <li>Be consistent</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Chelle Shapiro chimed in by warning about the compliment sandwich and how it can come across as backhanded and inauthentic to tuck criticism in with praise.</p> <p> </p> <p>Be Justin Dorsey works in the HR space it was great to have him bring up Love Languages. I don’t think I have ever worked in a corporation that cared about how I would like to be praised.</p> <p> </p> <p>He also gave us a mid-drop. Ask. Just ask people how they would like to be appreciated. </p> <p> </p> <p>Towards the end of the conversation I wondered about how we can be better at noticing when we think positive things about someone else and making sure we share them.
