What Is Disease

The word “disease” is often said so quickly that the implication is not reflected upon, because of the emphasis placed on the specific name of the disease, such as cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc. However, this important study must not be overlooked. The word disease is composed of a prefix dis which generally implies “a lack of,” as in the word disharmony, which means a lack of harmony and peace, (i.e., conflict and stress). The second part of the world is “ease.” Now what does this ease refer to? It refers to the ease one attains in the state of optimum health, that is, the state of enlightenment.
