The small community, which has been labelled as utopian, was born in South India half a century ago, near to the city of Puducherry.</p><br><p>Also known as the Universal Town, Auroville has close to 3000 inhabitants, from over 50 different countries of origin. It’s alternative and aims to become fully self-sufficient, one day accommodating 50,000, withdrawn from the noisy consumerist society to which us regular people belong.</p><br><p><strong>How was Auroville created?
