This week, Danny hosts the fabulous historian Natalia Petrzela to talk all about her new podcast Welcome To Your Fantasy, which explores the fascinating story behind the ‘80s male exotic dance show Chippendales. Natalia walks us through the historical context that set the scene for the show, and how its emergence walked hand in hand with the feminist sexual liberation movement of the time. She also goes into the turbulent relationship between the founders, and how it escalated to its fatal conclusion. They end the episode with a game of “Chippendales Shazam!” during which the take turns trying to name a few songs from the original Chippendales show.
