The message of Saint John the Baptist of repentance in today's gospel is for all of us to take, this time of Advent, to prepare for Christmas. It involves a deep preparation of our lives and souls for Christ. This will require us to get rid of all the worldly noise in our life, to make a straight path for the Lord.
