Wisdom from the Abbey–Mother Hilda–Random Act of Kindness (Mother Hilda has the story of a lunchtime meal incident that her sister experienced when a total stranger paid for her sister’s meal without her knowledge in a random act of kindness and the impact that it had on her sister. Mother Hilda says that when we carry out random acts of kindness it’s as though a healing balm enters into the other person’s life, as though a fresh, beautiful breeze has just blown across a heart and a soul.
