Hearts on Fire Feet on the Move–Mark Raue–Mission Sunday (Mark Raue introduces the 2023 Catholic Mission appeal by explaining who Catholic Mission are and the role of their annual appeal. This year the appeal theme is “hearts on fire, feet on the move.” And it has a particular focus on Timor-Leste. Sr Carolina, who is the face of the awareness and fundraising campaign, is a great example of the devotion of missionaries, dedicating herself to providing critical healthcare services to the rural community of Venilale in Timor-Leste. Sr Carolina has been running the medical clinic since1995 to provide urgent healthcare services to a community still bearing the scars of decades of unrest, with most of the treatment at the centre focuses on tuberculosis and malnutrition.
