We Got the Travelin‘ Blues

<p>There’s no place like home but if you’re feeling like you’ve got cabin fever, let us cure you of that with this week’s stories of travel disasters. Nydia covers the famous story of Natalee Holloway. What’s the connection to Jon Benet Ramsey? This story was covered more than the Iraq War but let’s continue to circle it. Why not? Dana shares the creepiness behind the walls of the Barclay Hotel in Los Angeles. This historical landmark has claimed a ridiculous amount of lives. </p> <p>Cindy tells us some hilarious stories shared by a listener who worked as a flight attendant. Come hear about the not so friendly skies. </p> <p> </p> <p>For dinner this week Cindy created a dish known in Aruba as Keshi Yena.  It is a delicious cheese covered chicken dish that incorporates raisins, olives, capers, and sometimes pickles. For dessert, Cindy presented us with a throwback to when airlines gave us pretzels and chocolate chip cookies on flights. Ahh, those were the days. She combined pretzels into a chocolate chip cookie bar and the combination was glorious.  The meal was paired with a 2019 Schlosskellerie Gobelsburg riesling. This is only the second time we shared a riesling on this podcast and it did not disappoint.
