Description

"We don't need to advertise all the time" [Are you sure?]

We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at www.myrise.co.uk

Every now and again someone sends me a post from a local facility that they feel is aimed at us.

Some clearly are, some a little more vague but probably are.

It’s cool.

As the original (and still the best) group training based facility in Macclesfield I’m sure other facility owners are, at least, aware of us.

And, I would assume, that our continued success year after year, might contribute to others feeling they can do something similar.

It was, amongst other things, the success of similar set ups in America that gave us some of the indication that this kind of approach could work.

One comment that’s been made many times over the years by others is “we don’t do transformations”.

I’ve covered before that a “transformation” is a “significant, lasting change”.

So if they’re “not doing transformations” they can only be doing “insignificant, temporary changes” 😉

The post that was shared with me the other day was along the lines of

“We don’t need to advertise all the time. Our results speak for themselves”.

I might be wrong, but as the only facility in Macclesfield I see advertising all the time, I assume that was aimed at us.

The only ads I ever see in my Facebook feed are from local Globo gyms and from us.

As I assume I would fit the ‘spec’ of the kind of person that might want to go to one of the other facilities, I can only assume the fact that I’ve never seen an advert means that they aren’t advertising (online, at least).

Which would be fine if they were consistently ‘full’ month after month, year after year.

But nothing I hear on the grapevine suggests that this is the case.

Our retention is good for the industry.

But do people leav
