Warms into 90’s Today; 100’s, Dry & Windy Fri-Sun; 90’s Next Week w/Better Chances for Rain

<p>Today an upper-level ridge amplifying over the Rockies begins to shift east leading to warm-up into the mid-90’s   Friday, and over the weekend the ridge becomes the dominating weather feature over the High Plains expanding to the Canadian border.  This will lead hot and dry weather with highs in the low 100’s and lows in the low 70’s.   Breezy winds from the south-southwest direction will intensify dryness and drought conditions.  Starting Sunday evening some late day evening isolated storms start popping out west in Eastern Colorado and by Monday the ridge begins weakening and moving east allowing for the late day evening storms to start working more into northwest KS and southwest NE.    </p>
