Description

Today an upper-level ridge develops over the area as high pressure expands over the TX/OK Panhandle and New Mexico. This will lead to more breezy southerly flow and temps warming into the mid 90’s. Tomorrow remains warm with highs in the mid to upper 90’s and ridge shifts east with flow more northwesterly. A couple shortwave disturbances will travel over the Rockies and through the region in the evenings with some scattered showers & storm chances. Over the weekend upper-level trough moves through the northern Plains with stationary cool front over the Tri state area resulting in cooler temps in the 70’s an 80’s and lows in the 50’s and increased chances for late day and evening showers and storms. Monday trough moves into Great Lakes region and high pressure slides in from the northwest.
