VOP 2022: March 4, 2022 Divine Perception leads to Wise Decision “3D lens factor” How you see is more important than What you see. The way God perceives or sees is different from how Man sees. Our case study is the account of the twelve spies that were sent to spy Canaan Land to see how the Land was in order for them to possess it. Ten of the spies had a negative report saying they saw giants in the Land and were fearful of the stature of the inhabitants. On the other hand, only two of them, Caleb and Joshua had a different Spirit of boldness and were positive, seeing the Land the way God desired them to see or perceive it. The difference between the two groups or ten spies and two (Caleb and Joshua) and the lessons is outlined below 3D lens factor D-1: Determination: The two spies, Caleb and Joshua were determined while the ten spies were fearful of the giants D2: Desire: The two spies, had a good desire to possess the Land and spoke it out, but the ten spies declined and did not show interest to possess the Land. D3: Distinction: The two , Caleb and Joshua were distinct, they saw same giants but reacted differently. There were positive and stood on the Lord’s side. We may all see a Cup which is half way, but two different ways to interpret is: One person interpret it as half full and the other interprets it as half empty. Both see the same thing, but how it is perceived makes a great difference in the reception. The distance between the perception and reception is our decision to accept or choose God’s way or divine perception which is often on the positive side and has a glorious end. Out of the twelve spies, ten who were negative did not possess the Land while only the two who were positive on God’s side possessed the Land. Nugget: Majority does not always win, but only those on the Lord’s side, though few always win.
