VOP 2021: October 30, 2021 Put on the garment of Praise A garment is often significant for identification. While the state of the outer garment is very obvious to men, the state of the inner garment is only known by God. However, the inner garment is more important as true beauty is not just the outward appearance, but the inner beauty is more genuine. The most important garment is the garment of repentance and salvation, which includes the inner and outer change of garment. We must throw away or get rid of every filthy garment of pain and shame and put on the garment of praise, always giving God all the glory at all times. “To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah‬ ‭61:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. “And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.” Mark‬ ‭10:50‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
