Vimalakirti Sutra - Part 5

<p>This story of a "rich man" named Vimalakirti tells of many attributes, some Buddhist and some Samsaric, that the students of the day would consider highly praise-worthy of the Bodhisattva way. However, as Burton Watson's translations are always canted toward religious and Christian rhetoric, it is difficult to separate his own cultural admirations from the descriptions of Vimalakirti. As the story continues to develop, we will see the expedient means toward understanding the Dharma.</p>
