Description

A common tool in the special educator’s toolbox is the social story. In 1989, Carol Gray developed the social story to show her students the “hidden social rules” and teach them how to respond, interact and value social relationships. Since then, teachers, OTs, and others have used social stories to teach a wide variety of skills to learners who need extra support to interact and become independent in their school, home and community.
