Unlocking Family Beauty Rituals, Prioritizing Self-Care, and Creating New Paradigms ft. Nyakio Grieco of Thirteen Lune

Clean beauty is all I knew.”- Nyakio Grieco</em></p><p>Back in 2002, before clean beauty was cool and before Black-owned beauty was considered a mainstream selling point, Nyakio Grecio set out to bring her Kenyan grandmother’s coffee scrub to the masses. Growing her eponymous brand <em>Nyakio</em> was of course no easy feat, but after experiencing the racial tension of last summer, she knew that her work could not stop there. Now, Nyakio has launched <em>Thirteen Lune</em>, a new one-stop shop for beauty primarily owned by Black founders and other founders of color.
