University Of Limerick To Study Concussion Treatment

On Wednesday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Dr John Mulvihill, Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering in the School of Engineering, UL to discuss new research being conducted on concussion treatment. University of Limerick and international healthcare provider UPMC are to work together to advance knowledge and understanding on how to best treat head injuries. The Irish Rugby Injury Surveillance (IRIS) project based at UL, together with UPMC, have agreed a new strategic research partnership that ultimately aims to increase the understanding of concussion.
