UNDERSTANDING THE PROMISE

<p dir="ltr"><span class="x_36634963highlight"><span class= "x_36634963colour"><span class="x_36634963font"><span class= "x_36634963size">This podcast, we explore Jesus’ promise to return to us.  This is His Second Advent.  This concept of Christ’s Advent usually entails His first coming as we celebrate Chriostmas.  Yet, the early church celebrated His Second Advent more than His birth.</span></span></span></span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span class="x_36634963highlight"><span class= "x_36634963colour"><span class="x_36634963font"><span class= "x_36634963size">We need to recapture this promise of His return as the apostles preached and taught it to the first believers.  God honors His promises.  He is faithful in all of His words.  He promised Adam He would send a Savior.  He promised Noah to save the families of the earth.  He promised Abraham He would save individuals, families, and the nations of the earth through His Seed.</span></span></span></span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span class="x_36634963highlight"><span class= "x_36634963colour"><span class="x_36634963font"><span class= "x_36634963size">This promise of His return should not be secondary, but among the elite teachings of Jesus.  We should be preparing the world for His return.  This flows out of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Promise of the Father to the followers of His Son.</span></span></span></span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span class="x_36634963highlight"><span class= "x_36634963colour"><span class="x_36634963font"><span class= "x_36634963size">The Advent of Jesus is upon us.  May we be about our Father’s business.</span></span></span></span></p>
