If we can achieve relativistic speeds (>90% the speed of light), we could theoretically reach anywhere in the galaxy or beyond within one hundred years or less... But thousands or even millions of years would pass back on the home planet. This means that aliens should be everywhere... But maybe they don't care to colonize or visit planets at all!
