<p>Newcastle United head coach, Eddie Howe has explained why his team defeated Paris Saint-Germain 4-1 in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League tie.</p>, <p>Howe watched as goals from Miguel Almiron, Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff and Fabian Schar gave Newcastle the win over PSG at St. James’ Park.</p>, <p>Speaking after the game, Howe suggested Newcastle won against PSG because his players gave a brilliant display against the French Ligue 1 giants.</p>, <p>According to him, Newcastle players pressed Luis Enrique’s side and were successful a couple of times.</p>, <p>“We are really pleased. It was a brilliant effort from the players,” Howe told CBS Sports.</p>, <p>“It was a different game. It was a cat and mouse between the two, we were trying to press them and they were trying to play through us.</p>, <p>“We were successful a couple of times which led to big goals for us, so I am delighted with the players’ commitment.”</p>, <p>“I think we came here with a lot more confident mood. We wanted to be ourselves and then take the result whatever it is,” he added.</p>, <p>The win over PSG means Newcastle now top Group F with four points from two games.</p>
