<p>In this episode, we welcome author and podcaster, Tom Taylor. Tom helped to create the Indiana Jones Minute and the Caddyshack Minute and has since been part of several additional shows. An editor of school textbooks by day, Tom puts his creative energies to work discussing the movies and music he loves. His first successful youth novel, "In Memory of Todd Woods," has been out for a few years. He is in the midst of shopping his newest book, "The Nearly Useless Power League," to see if he can find a publisher. While on a bit of a hiatus from their fourth season, discussing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull he has joined with three others for a new show. It's called ABCD:TOS, where they are going through all of the original star trek episodes in alphabetical order.</p> <p>MOVIES/STREAMING:<br /> Walt really enjoyed the documentary, <strong>Challenger: The Final Flight</strong>, on Netflix. He has also been re-watching some of the Bond movies recently available to stream, including <strong>Casino Royale</strong> and <strong>Quantum of Solace</strong>. He also caught American <strong>Assassin</strong> on Netflix and thought it was okay, but not great. Finally, he has been binging <strong>The Simpsons</strong> on Disney+. Tom has been introducing his 13 year old son to <strong>The Simpsons</strong>, <strong>30 Rock</strong><br /> and <strong>Parks and Rec</strong>. When the children are safely tucked in bed, he and his wife are enjoying <strong>Lovecraft Country</strong>, <strong>Perry Mason</strong> and <strong>Insecure</strong>, all on HBO Max. Alan was back in the movie theater, this time to see a new film, <strong>Tenet</strong>. He could not praise the latest Christopher Nolan movie highly enough. In his words, even the soundtrack was a character in the film that was built around the concept of the palindrome.</p> <p>READING:<br /> Walt is awaiting the new Jerry Seinfeld book, "Is That Something?"
